Gode og billige værelser på hovedvejen

Værelserne her var rummelige og rene. Ejendommen er meget sikker, som du kan få i kun med et kort, der åbner døren. Receptionisten var søde og hjælpsomme. Der var gratis wifi. Det er tæt på banegården.

Det værste!

Ringede til det hostel i forvejen, for at fortælle at vi er på vej til at ankomme sent om aftenen på grund af de tog tidsplan. De sagde, at vi kunne tjekke ind hver gang vi ønsker, bare ring på dørklokken. Så vi ankom klokken 3 om morgenen, og ingen åbnede døren! Var nødt til at tilbringe resten af natten udenfor ... så tak for ingenting!

Four hours here was too long.

It’s a place to sleep for a few hours with air con, WiFi, and outlets, but nothing else.
We spent about 4 hours here between the train from bangkok and the ferry to Koh Tao. The internet said nothing was available but we showed up anyway, rang the bell, waited, and checked in at 1 am. I don’t think anyone else was staying there. Make sure you hear the bell when you ring it because the button sticks.
The lady who let us in was half asleep but checked us in and booked our van/ferry for the next morning. We were picked up from Salsa Hostel down the road.
Room was large, with just two twin beds and a private bathroom. It was dirty and looked like no one had stayed there for a while.

Ok choice for one night on the way to the islands

We stayed in this hotel based on its close proximity to Chumphon train staton. I only paid £8 for the two of us and for that reason I would rate it as an ok place to stay. We walked to the place which is above an electrical appliance shop and checked in with much trepidation as the side entrance looked very dodgy. The staff spoke no English but were polite. The room turned out to be fine, very big and although overlooking the main road, not too noisy. The beds were comfy. The room felt a bit dusty and the toilet could have been cleaner but all in all for £8 and a quick stopover it was ok. As an extra they provided us with bottled water, the slightly green TV had cable and there was free wifi. There were ants about.

a blink to Chumphon Night Market

周辺は屋台や食堂だらけで食事には困りません。通りの斜め向かいにはOceanがあって、ソンテウ乗り場もすぐ、さらに隣は20バーツショップという、とても便利な立地です。アパートなのでレセプションのようなものは無いのですが、建物の１階が電気屋で、そこの従業員がアパートの管理もしているようで、たいていの事は電気屋に行けばなんとかなります。電気屋のママは英語があまり通じませんでしたが、中学生くらいの娘さんは、学校で習っているらしく日本語が少しだけ話せるのには驚きました。部屋はハウスキーパー兼電気屋の店員のおばさんが毎日キレイに掃除してくれました。もっと安い宿もありますが、立地も最高でスタッフとのやり取りも楽しく泊まって正解でした。
