Our favourite hotel in Bath
It’s a gorgeous boutique hotel, beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and feel really special without being over the top.
The staff are what really make it though – genuinely friendly, welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble. You feel looked after from the moment you arrive.
The location is perfect as well – right in the heart of Bath, so everything is within easy walking distance.
We’ve stayed here a few times now and wouldn’t choose anywhere else. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with charm, character, and a really personal touch.

Centrally located gem!
There is an honesty bar downstairs which we made use of after a night out. We had breakfast before we left on the last morning which was delicious and served with care.
Highly recommended, with thanks for such a lovely stay.

Friendly, Central, Peaceful, Beautiful Decor
We are walking the Kennet and Avon Canal and decided to stay here to combine the walk from from Avoncliff with a night’s stay and a day in Bath. We booked Eight direct on their website and they kindly agreed to look after our bags before/after checkout.
We were delighted to arrive at the hotel, which is very central and close to both the train station (5 minutes’ flat walk) and the canal. Bath is literally right outside the right door.
On arrival, we had a very friendly and helpful welcome.
The decor is beautiful; we loved our room and en suite. The mattress was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. There were lots of little extras in the room to ensure our stay was comfortable.
We will be back to enjoy another stay when we continue our walk.
