Excellent Stay!

We stayed here for two nights before our walk on the Camino de Santiago. On our second day, Berta, the proprietor suggested we walk on the Camino just before Samos, and she offered to drive us to a starting point about 12km away. It was not to be missed. Many say that this is one of the most beautiful sections of the Camino, and As Casas de Outeiro sit's directly on the Camino. Our room was great, breakfast delivered to our room by picnic basket was excellent, and the fireplace was fully stocked with wood and fire starters. I highly recommend As Casas de Outerio!

A gem of a place

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment. The living area with the kitchen and dinning is on the top floor and the bedroom and en-suite are on the lower floor. It is a converted barn/shed which has been very tastefully renovated with every mod con available. The location is so peaceful and just a five minute walk to the village in the evening for a beer. I would recommend hiring a car as the surrounding countryside is so beautiful. If you are staying for a while I would recommend getting your groceries in the larger town of Sarria which is about a 10 minute drive. The local wines produced in the area are well worth trying. And the host's were very helpful and really pleasant to deal with. It is a big yes from us.

A beautiful place in a lovely village

We stayed in the Suite which far exceeded our expectations. Five star accommodations and a wonderfully friendly owner who even offered to pick us up from dinner if it was raining. The monastery is definitely worth a visit. The church is beautiful. Staying here instead of crowded Sarria was worth it!

Exceptional accommodation on the Camino trail.

Casas de Outeiro is located on the outskirts of Samos uphill from the beautiful monetary, and a stop for us during our Camino. The host went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and spoke exceptional English. She was able to recommend a lovey restaurant for our dinner and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, though short. The room was lovely - large, modern and clean. Breakfast was hearty. (The jar of vegemite was a lovely touch for any Australian visitor).

Superb accommodation and host.

We booked and arrived at Casas de Outeiro late from a long walking day in the rain. The host was most welcoming and drove us to the best restaurant in Samos and then arranged for the restaurant owner to drive us back.
The accommodation is a very quaint and rustic 2 bedroom cottage with full kitchen facilities and a lounge area. It would be an ideal place to relax for a few days. The breakfast was superb and served in a private dining area.
The host went out of his way to make sure my gluten free diet was well catered for. ( He also had a jar of vegemite for any Australian visitor).
