A paradise
It's a special place. It's perfect. It's a paradise. Carlos makes you feel special from the moment you come in, you can tell people doing things with their hearts. The village, the landscape, the corners, the conversations, the breakfasts... everything is idyllic. We're already thinking of coming back.

The hotel is located in Sta. Catalina de Somoza, on the Camino de Santiago. the village is small and I think it only has a bar, but the hotel is unbeatable:
Spacious and en-suite rooms, charmingly furnished with everything you need: TV, bathroom with towels, gel, shampoo...detail of chocolates in the room on arrival.
Outside, under the eaves, swallows and planes nest.
Good place for ornithology fans (the owner I think is).
Large living room with landscape views, charming inner courtyard...
Hearty and quality breakfast.
I don't remember what it cost me a double room with breakfast, but I think it was around 70€ and my overall impression was that it was very worth it.

Superb five stars
Wonderful fabulous classy accommodation on the Camino! We received very warm welcome on our arrival at this beautiful place! The entire property is so nicely decorated and maintained it is so tasteful and classy!
Our room was huge with great views, the bathroom was also super classy. Breakfast was in the gorgeous dining room and superb. I can’t speak highly enough about this place it was amazing, we didn’t want to leave!!! Just beautiful and so many business owners could learn from these people.

Best place i stayed on the Camino!
I cannot say enough about this little gem!!!! I am on the Camino and decided to treat myself to a nice quiet little place. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Daina & Carlos (your hosts), i felt so at home. Everything is tastefully decorated and so comfortable. They showed me to my room, offered a laundry service (which was so needed - 8 euro). I showered in the most wonderfully hot and powerful shower - heaven. I relaxed in the salon, with the most incredible view. It was chilly outside but so cozy in there. They offer, wine, beer, snacks for a minimal charge and free coffee and tea. Breakfast is included in your room. When i told them that i was leaving very early and would not be there for breakfast, they packed me a to go bag for morning. If you are on the Camino, you really should make this a stop! Or, if just traveling in Spain, STOP! It is so worth a visit.

Six Stars. Just stupendous.
Six Stars if it were possible.
The owners were warm, quick to respond and - well - just great.
The place that they have created in this really charming village on the Camino… words fail me a bit.
It feels like every inch is vested with care and kindness and the spirit of the Way. There are few times that I’m concerned about gushing: it may draw crowds. But then, how could one not honour the work this couple has undertaken.
Makes me want to return to the Camino next year.
