Beautiful and peaceful local and fun Samoan experience

We had a beautiful stay at Vai Villas Samoa. The food was absolutely delicious with great vegetarian friendly options, and the restaurant offered breakfast, lunch and dinner with bookings. A lot of the produce was freshly picked straight from the garden at the property.
The cottage/enclosed fale was very comfortable with a comfortable double bed, cool shower and toilet, and the warm, welcoming family and village vibe made us feel truly included. Sharing meals felt like sitting at the family dinner table, including traditional Samoan food and umu.
Just re-opened with new accommodation. The location is fantastic, close to the beach for snorkelling, near surfboard hire and snorkelling tours, giant clams and the turtle sanctuary. It is quiet, private and peaceful. We also loved the nearby river and natural spring, and kayaking through the mangroves down to the ocean was a real highlight. A genuinely very special place and special people that we would love to return back to this beautiful home and family on another visit to Samoa. Also mentioned the restaurant can be booked for venue hire and weddings.

Peaceful stay

Our family of 6 + baby stayed at Vai Villas for two relaxing nights. Lua provides excellent hospitality and the food he cooked us was delicious. The staff were very helpful, occupying our baby during mealtimes. We enjoyed sitting by the lagoon and kayaking to look for turtles. Thanks Lua!

Cultural Day

Great hosts both Jill and Lua are. Fantastic experience and well recommended. We didn't stay however we were very tempted. The food and the organised activities where enjoyable considering the weather. Please visit as you wont be disappointed.

Cultural Day Out

Spent the day along with approx. 50 other people on a Cultural Day Tour, Biking, Kayaking and walking through the local Village watching a Emu preparation of food, Coconut de-husking and of coarse Climbing of the coconut tree was spectacular.
Our host Jill and her husband were friendly and very help full. The food was excellent and the entertainment in the evening was some of the best I've seen and considering it was their first time for a large party made it even better.

central location and integrated with the nearby Samoan village

I had an excellent stay at Vai Villas. Jill was an incredible host; she cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast using local vegetables and fruits, including lemon leaves from her property. The fales are situated on a peaceful lake, and Jill was so accommodating when many of us wanted to sleep outside by setting us up with mosquito nets and beds. She truly made us a feel at home. It is affordable and a great location. Only 10 minutes from beautiful beaches, 10 minutes from the giant clams (a popular tourist destination) and about 35 minutes to Apia. Would definitely recommend.
