A Gem in Caraz: Comfort, Kindness, and Amazing Food

We stayed for five nights at Intirumi Inn and couldn’t have chosen better. Kelly, the owner, is exceptionally kind, caring, and truly goes above and beyond for her guests. Every day she helped us plan our hikes, arranged transport in advance, and always negotiated the best price for us. Her breakfasts are outstanding (don’t miss the pancakes!), and if you’re heading out early she packs a delicious takeaway breakfast. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds super comfortable, and the showers are excellent — perfect after a long hike. A real highlight was the farm-to-table dinners, made with fresh produce straight from the garden. Intirumi Inn is, without doubt, the best accommodation in Caraz — especially if you’re looking for comfort, a friendly atmosphere, and a central base for exploring the many incredible hikes in the area. Highly recommended. A genuine 10/10 stay. Thank you, Kelly — we will definitely be back!

Feels like home in Caraz in a welcoming lodge.

The rooms are spacious and clean. there’s a cozy on-site restaurant/bar, which makes the experience even more complete.

Incredible experience

Amazing experience. The peculiar space and Kelly, the host, turn a simple stay into a sensational experience in Caraz.
There is no better place to explore the region, with the comfort of a good bed and good end-of-day food.
I highly recommend!!

Amazing experience

An excellent place to stay on the outskirts of Caraz. The food was great (some sourced from the onsite garden), rooms were well designed and clean, and the owner (Kelly) was super helpful by coordinating taxis, giving solid hiking advice, helping us find stores and restaurants, etc. Kelly was not only resourceful but gracious and kind. She has really put her heart and soul into the place and it shows.

Staff went above and beyond without hesitation

Loved it. The grounds were a beautiful sight after a long day on a motorcycle and I enjoyed the dinner. Staff/owners were amazing. The shower was hot (and had artesian soap and shampoo), the bed was comfortable with a lamp and plugs nearby (oddly rare in south america). I intended to spend only a single night but got a flat tire the next day and they were able to rescue me with a truck and even came with me to the tire shop to translate and make sure I didnt get too much gringo tax. I ended up spending an extra night and it was just as pleasant the second evening.
