Lanavilla ligger ved stranden og er en moderne gæstevilla i Muscat. Der tilbydes gratis WiFi på fællesområderne samt morgenbuffet hver morgen. Muscats centrum ligger 5 km derfra. Dette moderne indrettede værelse har parketgulv og aircondition.

Beachfront Boutique Style Hotel
My wife and I stayed here three nights and it proved the perfect place to start our Oman vacation. The hotel is run by a German guy Oliver and staffed by a friendly team of Filipino ladies. The hotel is in a safe and quiet residential community, on the beachfront road that ends 100 metres from the hotel. A short walk gets you to a superstore and local coffee shops. Our room looked out onto the beach - and had a small balcony - which was primarily for fishing. A public beach for bathing etc,. was a half mile walk away. The highlight of the day was grabbing buffet breakfast on the front terrace immediately after my morning run. The buffet was a simple healthy spread. A coffee and tea station was available all day.

Great location & potential – but urgent renovation jam!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) (Note: I chose 3 stars because the service, breakfast and location were good – 2 stars often seem like a total disaster).
We stayed in March 2026 as a group (2 married couples) for 4 nights in the Lana Villa. The location is unbeatable: Situated right next to the luxurious The Chedi, you only have to cross a little-travelled road and is right on the beach.
The plus points:
Breakfast: Really good, especially the freshly prepared omelets.
Roof terrace: An absolute highlight for relaxed evenings (beer sales easily possible), especially beautiful during Ramadan.
Service: The staff are friendly and endeavourful.
Management: We spoke to the owner (Oli) personally on departure. He was discerning about our criticism.
The But (Room 5 & General Condition):
Unfortunately, the house has had its best times (TripAdvisor Award 2013) for a long time. You get the feeling that no investment has been made here for years.
Cleanliness: The biggest drawback. Windows to the sea side hadn’t been cleaned for ages, there were still remains of predecessors in the fridge and magazines with dust layers from 2020 are on the shelves. This is not an investment problem, but a question of cleaning control.
Condition of rooms: The air conditioning rattles loudly, the sink had jumped, the shower tap leaked and moldy. The bathroom fan was inoperative due to a completely blocked sieve.
Furniture: The outdoor furniture is rusted, wobbly and stale.
Conclusion & tip:
The Lana Villa could be a real gem. According to the owner, a core renovation is planned for the summer of 2026.
Our recommendation: The house is actually great due to the location and atmosphere, but you should definitely request in writing before booking whether the renovation and basic cleaning have already been completed. In the current state (March 2026), the value for money is borderline. We will gladly come back after the renovation to check the result.

Recommended accommodation by the sea
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Oman, each for 2 nights. On the first stay the rooms to the sea were fully booked and we got a room to the back out. This room was felt to be the worst in the whole house: wobbly closet, whose door I held in my hand when I closed with bent wire clothes hangers and a toilet door, whose handle I held in my hand when I opened it.
Since I did not want to stay here, however, we later got another room. Out back, too, but fine. Of course, you also have to consider the relatively cheap price.
At the 2. Stay we got a nice room to the sea. I was very happy with that.
The view to the sea is really nice and the waterfront road in front of the property is quiet.
Breakfast was fine. Good was the freshly made omelette and the fresh fruit in the glass.
Unfortunately, on two different days I caught a cheese with a whitish topping, which I disposed of.
Dates, cookies and coffee were available for self-service throughout the day.
That was a very nice gesture.
The staff is very friendly and endeavoured and happy to help with any questions and problems.
We were even made breakfast before our early departure at 6am.
Unfortunately, we have not met the owner personally. He was recommended to us by the travel agent for tips and suggestions just at the beginning of the trip.
The location of the property to the airport is very pleasant, but restaurants and shops are within walking distance.
The roof terrace and the lounges on the ground floor are nice and cozy.
Overall, the accommodation is quite recommendable, although some would need to be improved.

nice accommodation with some room for improvement
Very nice and communicative breakfast area in the garden. Located on the beach, very bright and open. Friendly staff and problems were fixed quickly and nicely.
the communication in advance was a little tedious in places, the bathroom in the 2bedded room lakeeevery small and narrow.
It was also a pity that the beautiful terrace made a somewhat neglected impression.
Note: There is no swimming on the beach in front of the hotel. The bikes were unfortunately out of service at the time of our stay.

Good option in Muscat
Enjoy your stay at Lana Villa at the beginning of our stay in Oman.
The house is nicely decorated, well located enough to visit Muscat, spacious rooms (especially those on the sea) and decent, bathrooms on the other hand deserve a renovation.
Breakfast is quite varied. Lana Villa is a good choice for exploring the capital.
