An Enchanted Hillside!
The gardens are so well tended by Rattan and Munibhai, the 'maalis' ( gardeners ).
Dining-room staff are led by Dharamraj Neopane, maitre-d'hote par excellence! Dharamraj is ably assisted by Anuradha Dalia, 'rasoiya' ( cook ), assisted by wait-staff Akil, Deepika ( Akil's wife ), Bina Devi ( Dharamraj Neopane's wife ). Young Shree Prasad is a willing ferry-man for fetching us in the battery-operated cart up to the Landour Road.
Every second or third day I would ask Bina Devi and her cousin Deepika to attend in our Bedell Suite at 4 p.m. when my wife would be there. They would attend promptly. We would have our suite cleaned, including mopping the floors, changing floor-clothes, towels etc.
For breakfast there would be cereal including muesli, lytchee-juice/ orange juice, fruit,
'Aloo paraathe' or eggs, fried, scrambled or fried into a delectable ommelette!
Dinner, as with breakfast, is served at a long table with every guest seated around the table. During our stay of thirty-two days, we met many dear individuals, Ronen and his wife Victoria, Rebecca Lindsey, Lisa Kwon, Maria from the Netherlands ( a longer-term student at Landour Language School ).Then there was Rakesh Sheth, a Gujrati from London. My wife Robyn also attended L.L.S. for four weeks.
We also got to know Xavier and Mia Pleasance and their sons Corey and Finnegan. Corey is a boarder at Woodstock School; his ten-year-old brother Finnegan studies in London.
Sunita and Amarjeet Kudle have their daughter Shrushti and Sunita's mother Mrs. Sehgal live with them at L.V.B. Sunita must have five-hundred issues come across her table each day; she handles each one adroitly, expeditiously. The Staff, the Owners. all combine to make this a caring family. My wife Robyn had 'the flu' and a worrying cough for about ten days. This caring family helped in Robyn's recovery.
And then, the vista, spread before us each day. Woodstock School, Wynberg-Allen where Brian taught in 1969, St. George's College, Landour township spread before us with its tolling bell-tower; we hear the bell tolling the hour, every hour!

Great Location
I agree with all the good reviews and on top of the positive thing they said she was kind enough to make our dinner Reservation for our second night there.
We were surprised though when asking if she could provide something for us to take with us for our breakfast, as we had to leave at 7am, the next morning, the answer was No, just saying in 30years of travel, I have always found a host in a B&B, Inn or hotel to to be understanding of an early start, helpful, to arrange something.There was no way to make ourself some hot water for tea and our room was cold. Normandy in May since it by the coast can be rainy and cold, and we were not told how to get the room warm if we would get cold, I had to get under the covers after tour and before our dinner reservation the second night
I was so glad we could leave our car on the street a couple blocks away with no meters and walk into town to meet our tour guide. This B&B is a very reasonable price.
