Espectacular view

My stay was great in this place. I received good service, breakfast included in the price, and people were kind around me. It amazed me the view of the mountains, streets, cathedral, and parks surrounding the hotel. Cuenca is a beautiful city because of the attractions, the weather is cold but enchanting, and it has many restaurants with the most exquisite food.

Excellent view from rooftop breakfast room

The hotel is very central just after the catedral. The staff is helpful and gives good information where to go and what to do. Cuenca is a beautiful city and relaxed. The laundry was ready the same afternoon as we gave it all foulded

good enviroment

Milan Hotel
The Milan Hotel is in the city of Cuenca, its central location stands out as one would the most popular hotels and their prices are comfortable for visitors because its location is close to places such as the cathedral, the flower market among others.
The Milan hotel is not a five stars one, but it`s affordable price and the warmth of the staff is an added value although it’s advisable to be careful if you plan to go out at night. The hotel offers a continental breakfast.

Honest service staff, safe and clean

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, and as we payed right away, and because we had booked from Booking.com, we handed 100 in total for 2 people for 2 nights (that is what Booking.com said).However, surprisingly, the owner told us that was too much and that Booking.com charges extra fees and that it was only 80. He also gave us good advice on El Cajas tours, and encouraged us to go and how to do it by ourselves. The only thing was the safe, that we couldnt open with the key that gave us, and when telling this to another reception guy (a different one than the honest and informative sir that attended us before), he simply said they were hard to open. Also, Im a vegetarian and they didnt had any other option for my breakfast, even though I asked this in advance. Appart from this, the hotel has a great location and tourist advice, we recommend this hotel.

hotel Milan is well located, it is in the heart of Cuenca, the nicest city in Ecuador I travelled to. The hotel rooms are well sized, but not functioning at all, we had first 106 on the first floor, it has a nice view of the Cathedral beside the hotel. As it is mentioned the rooms has a safe even on arrival it was not working ( staff told us, they couldn't do anything and that they do not have a general safe at reception), after a while they contacted us again and gave us the chance to change the room, this time was 306, same size, same view. apparently was good, unfortunately just after came back in late night we saw the big and dirty stain on the ceiling, again not maintained, bring your hair dryer as they do not have in the rooms and do not provide if you need it. The Reception Staff was polite but not really helpfull, on the contrary the Housekeeping and Breakfast Staff were nice. The hotel didn't really provide information, we had to find out everything we needed as every time we asked for something, they didn't know or head us to go to a Local Agency ( really rare as they should provide basic information).
all in all if are looking for something well priced, in the city center and to sleep over this hotel is a good place where to stay for a couple of days in Cuenca.
