Tasteful and timeless
Not the first time but the second time at Rox and my husband and I are definitely new fans.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, the pool area delicious and the food (mainly breakfast) is perfect. We will both recommend others and return more times. A very good new place for ESS group!

Very nice and new place, but for that price you should not have to pay extra to use the pools - it is not a spa, just pools - and crazy to have to pay extra for a proper cop of coffee at breakfast - they are trying to be more up-market than they should be... . And the pillows are thick and uncomfortable - so bring your own...

Perfect getaway ❤️
Fantastic getaway, with all you need to relax, lean back and enjoy.
The location is fantastic and the minute you get in the door, you get this feeling of calmness and just being.
The services overall is very good, no matter if you are in lounge, outside in yard area, in the bar/restaurant, or in the Spa area. There is always attentive staff nearby, to be helpful if needed.
The food is delicious and of high quality.

High expectations, low quality
We had dinner at Smith with a seating at 8:30.
To start with the positive:
Very beautiful local all the way from the lobby to the restaurant. It is a nice international vibe and very cool decor. Nice welcome and cute smiling staff. But soon we got a feeling that the staff was very busy. (The restaurant was full, so understandable). They were cute but seemed like beginners. Did not make sure to fill up water, did not come and checked up. Misunderstanding with who accepted wine orders. It's been an hour and a quarter before we got the asparagus. Two with shrimp and three without. Very delicious. Then came a ribeye steak, fried as we wanted. With dull pomegranates, bearnaise sauce and a salad of red radicchio. An unimpressive composition that was just boring. Dessert was chocolate mousse with salt. Very delicious but too heavy alone. Some berries and ice were missing. The food doesn't match the beautiful rooms at all. For one in our company ended the night with a ride back and forth to the bathroom with stomach poisoning.

I appreciate your detailed feedback regarding the waiting time, communication between the team, and the dishes served. This has been shared with our Restaurant Management team, as we are continuously working to improve both our service flow and the overall guest experience.
Regarding your comment about one of your guests experiencing stomach issues afterwards, we are very sorry to hear this. We take such feedback very seriously. At this moment, we have not received any other reports or cases of suspected food-related illness connected to Smith, but we would appreciate the opportunity to understand more about what happened.

A wonderful surprise
We'd seen some of the poor reviews in the news regarding the restaurant and service, so weren't sure what to expect but I have to stay it was such a wonderful experience. Most staff were super friendly and smiley, facilitates and room were great. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had! We spent most of our time by the rooftop pool. Would definitely recommend.
