Awesome Room and Great Food

William was kind enough to donate a stay to a local cause, and as a Kampot local I was lucky enough to win a free night at The Magic Sponge. The room was excellent—very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. My child especially enjoyed the wide variety of TV channels, and we had a lot of fun playing a few rounds of mini golf together.
The shower really stood out: strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The food lived up to its local reputation as one of the best restaurants in town—it was fantastic.
A big thank you to William for the stay. It was truly a 10 out of 10 experience, and I will definitely be recommending The Magic Sponge to any friends who come to visit Kampot.

Excellent Breakfast Good Host

Excellent Breakfast, certainly leaves you full probably the best breakfast I’ve had in Asia and I’ve been around a long while. The owner an American nice guy been here a long time a well established well visited establishment, I haven’t stayed in the rooms so I cannot comment on the standards however William is very enthusiastic about his business even after 16 years probably why he has so many customers along with the high standards he offers of food. Good portions at very low prices I will be sure to return with more friends in the near future

Magic Sponge Hotel, Kampot, Cambodia - A great place to stay!

The Magic Sponge is a great place to stay and the freshly prepared food is wonderful. Food specials are offered several times a week and pictured is the shady outdoor area with free pool tables and tanles and chairs to relax. When I checked in on a warm November day, I was greeted with a cold beverage! I ate several meals here every day. The putt-putt golf course is ready to be played. The internet is fast and lots of streaming choices to view during the warmest times of the day. I hope to return someday.

Great hotel!

What a place! We stayed in family room for 3 nights (2 adults and 2 kids 13 and 10). Very comfortable room with strong WIFI (and Netflix etc available). Lovely calm setting with very good choice of food (and generous portions). We happily spent time relaxing in the grounds with mini golf, pool tables and daily happy hour (great cocktails). It is also great location just a few minutes walk from main bars/restaurants. However, the best thing about this place is the owner William. So friendly and helpful, he couldn’t have done more to make our stay any better. Highly recommend this place. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kampot!

Great place , friendly welcome, great food under a cooling plant covered canopy. Spacious comfy fully functional rooms.

Good position for the old town and riverside. Mini golf and pool tables for free! I visited twice- says it all.
