Reference hotel in Paris

Personally, I love this hotel; I have returned several times over the years. The location is strategic, the staff so kind as to speak Italian. I have chosen the superior rooms the last few times and they are a sight with the view over the rooftops of Paris.

No compensation whatsoever for force majeure

Due to the extreme hittr there were no trains to Paris on the weekend of June 26, also all events were canceled, despite this the hotel and Booking.com would not give money or other compensation, in addition I called many times to the so-called hotel manager who would not be present each time, you are just being fooled

Dear Sir,
The exceptional weather conditions you mention did indeed disrupt transport in France that weekend.
However, your booking was subject to specific fare conditions, which were clearly stated at the time of purchase : a preferential ‘non-cancellable, non-refundable’ fare.
These terms enable us to offer attractive fares whilst ensuring fair treatment for all our guests. Furthermore, we are not responsible for the policy applied by Booking.
We advise you to contact the railway company through which you booked your journey to Paris or to contact your bank.
We hope that your next trip will go more smoothly, allowing you to discover our capital.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience with the Chief of Reception left such a negative impression that I would encourage others to consider nearby alternatives.
In early March, about a month before our original stay, new UK passport requirements forced our family to change travel plans for a trip with our 90-year-old father. When adjusting our reservations, I discovered that one of the two bookings had accidentally been made non-refundable. I contacted the hotel directly and was told to work through Expedia. Expedia’s staff were consistently helpful and attempted several times to assist, but every request was denied by the hotel’s Chief of Reception.
Although we had already moved our second reservation to May and were still staying at the same hotel, we were forced to make an entirely new booking for my father. There was no willingness to compromise, transfer dates, or offer any partial refund despite the circumstances.
What made this especially disappointing was the lack of compassion and customer service shown throughout the process. I understand policies exist, but the interaction felt unnecessarily cold and dismissive.
It is unfortunate because the hotel itself is in a fantastic area and the rest of the staff were lovely. However, one individual’s attitude significantly affected what should have been a memorable family trip.

Appalling Lack of Customer Service

The location of this hotel is excellent, surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience with the Chief of Reception left such a negative impression that I would encourage others to consider nearby alternatives before booking.
In early March, about a month before our original stay, new UK passport requirements forced our family to change travel plans for a trip with our 90-year-old father. When attempting to adjust our reservations, I discovered that one of the two bookings had accidentally been made as non-refundable. I contacted the hotel directly and was told to work through Expedia. Expedia’s customer service was consistently helpful and tried multiple times to assist, but each request was denied by the hotel’s Chief of Reception.
Although we had already moved our second reservation to May and were still planning to stay at the same hotel, we were forced to make an entirely new booking for my father. Over the following weeks, Expedia continued trying to help resolve the issue, but every request to either transfer the unused booking dates or provide any refund was refused.
What made the situation especially disappointing was the complete lack of compassion, flexibility, or customer care shown by the Chief of Reception. While I understand that booking errors happen and policies exist, there was no willingness to work toward a reasonable solution despite the circumstances and despite the fact that we remained paying guests at the property one month later.
It is unfortunate because the hotel itself is in a fantastic location and the rest of the staff were lovely. However, one individual’s poor attitude and approach to customer service significantly affected what should have been a memorable family trip.

Dear Madam,
We would like to clarify a few points about this situation.
Bookings made via third-party platforms have specific terms and conditions, particularly when a preferential "non-refundable" rate is selected. These terms and conditions are clearly indicated at the time of booking and are designed to ensure that all our guests are treated fairly.
Our team, whose friendliness you have appreciated, has simply respected the contractual framework established at the time of your purchase.
We regret that this point has overshadowed all the advantages of our establishment and that your stay in Paris will nevertheless have left your father and your family with fond memories.
