Comar lodge
I had a terrible experience at Comar Lodge, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.
Upon arrival, we were already met with problems — there was no water at all, which is completely unacceptable for any accommodation. To make matters worse, at 12:00 AM there was still no hot water, leaving us unable to properly wash or rest comfortably.
The situation became even more frustrating the following day when staff falsely accused me of not paying for a previous stay, despite the fact that I have clear proof from my bank that payment was made. Being wrongly accused as a paying customer is completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
On top of that, I was also accused of switching off the geyser, which is absolutely untrue. Instead of taking responsibility for their own maintenance issues, they chose to blame the customer.
The manager, Sampie, handled the situation very poorly — rather than resolving the issue, he continued making accusations and showed no effort to assist or prioritize customer satisfaction.
Additionally, their plumbing system is questionable. The pipes used for hot water appear to be non-SABS approved orange polypipe, which raises serious concerns about safety and compliance.
Overall, this lodge shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic service standards. Customers should be treated with respect and honesty — something that is clearly lacking here.
I will not be returning, and I do not recommend Comar Lodge to anyone.
