The best B&B in Forfar, Scotland

Ian the host, is great. He will not only help you out with whatever you need, but offers & goes out of the way, to make you feel comfortable. Rooms are big & clean. Breakfast spans from typical english breakfast or any derivatives of it, through cereals, yoghurts, toast & coffee/tea. Kettle in the rooms always with enough supply of sugar, tea, coffee & milk. Comfortable communal sitting room area with tv. Very peaceful surroundings.

The world's best B&B and the world's best host

The place lacks nothing and is almost new - especially according to English standards.
But what makes the place have to have 6 stars out of 5 possible is the host Ian. The most hospitable and helpful person you can find in Scotland.
I was on a hunting trip and therefore left B&B very early in the morning, which made me unable to reach the breakfast. But Ian probably made an English breakfast for me every morning when I came home from hunting.
On the day of departure, Ian let me stay a little longer so I could rest after the hunt before moving on.
The place can really be recommended.

Good hospitality in tasteful surroundings

Large and comfortable room
Parking in driveway off road
Located with great view across the valley
Host is hospitable and informative and generous
Breakfast is substantial
Toiletries and linens provided and good quality

Excellent B&B

Had to come on and review this excellent B&B . From the doorstep welcome from our host Ian to our tasty, freshly cooked breakfast in the morning it was perfect . We only needed the one night after transporting our caravan to new storage nearby and picked it for the view which was indeed amazing . Helped of course by the glorious sunny weather - Scotland at its best . Room was large and comfortable with superior en suite facilities. View of the extensive garden was a bonus . Ian was friendly and helpful and we are delighted to recommend his lovely place to any travellers to the area

Excellent hospitality, lovely rooms and a fabulous view

Highly recommended! Strathview B&B is excellent and Ian's hospitality is second-to-none. Ian was proactive with communication and gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. The facilities are superb and spotlessly clean. I stayed in a lovely, large, cosy and comfortable bedroom with a double bed, TV, WiFi, tea/coffee, and spacious en-suite. I also had access to the guest lounge, dining room and fridge, if needed. I slept soundly and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. Ian was well-prepared with veggie sausages and I enjoyed the fabulous view to the Sidlaw Hills while I ate. Ian really went the extra mile by suggesting I park my car in the garage overnight (to avoid it freezing up outside in the driveway) and he even gave me a coffee-to-go when I set off. Amazing!
