good location and on a quiet street

simple check in from a friendly member of staff,lifts to all floors.my room(41)was of a good size if a bit old fashioned but clean and tidy with a comfy double bed,good size bathroom.although i didn't try the restaurant this hotel also has a bar and considering it's set on a quiet street it's a great place to relax.
this hotel is a short walk to discover what padron has to offer and a short walk off the caminho.numbered codes are given after check in for the front door.

rude staff do not recommend

My husband and I stayed here on our camino de santiago. we’ve been walking since portugal and have stayed in many nice places… this one,
not so much. rooms are fine, but old and outdated. the bathtub was nice. what stood out most was the very rude staff. from the reception to the restaurant. i’d expect more respect from people who are to comfort you along this journey. they were reluctant in giving us our stamps for our passports (which we’ve filled almost 2 each… over a hundred stamps in less than 10 days). they also refused to recommend anything other than their own restaurant. we found a great local spot in town. in addition, we checked in late and received attitude for it. she stated ‘oh you’re the last the check in’ with an eye roll. upon check out, she stated ‘you need to get out of the room earlier for the girls to clean, there are people coming’. yeah duh… i was honestly flabbergasted… it was 12:30pm and we were literally checking out. will not be staying here again and do not recommend.

Surprisingly great food

Pleasantly surprised how good the evening meal was, really good. Best dinner of the trip
Excellent food and wonderful waitress service, yes the rooms are tired but they were are spotless.
Didn’t stay for breakfast as up and out early.

Pleasant base from which to explore the region.

Quaint hotel in quiet side street, yet within easy strolling distance of the town centre. Room decor is somewhat tired, but clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast is tasty, and the hotel has a good quality on-site restaurant. The spacious self-service laundromat is easy to operate.
Friendly staff, who are able to converse in Spanish, Castilian, English, Portuguese, and Italian.
