Over night stay
In my opinion this was the loveliest place i have stayed. The Spanish owner was absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for you. (although she didn't speak English) What a lovely lady. The whole of the place was spotless and probably the cleanest place i have stayed. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.....We will be returning.

High Standard for a low price with a warm welcome!
Have visited twice this year and both visits we were welcomed in the same friendly manner. Rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Location is great, just a 5 min walk to the main harbour, beach and restaurants. We will be returning!

Cheap and cheerful
We stayed on a Friday night in July.
Easy to find and very clean. There is a bar attached but it wasn't open when we were there. The owners are two of the friendliest people I have met. We spoke next to no Spanish and they spoke no English at all but we got along fine. The rooms are basic but if you are just looking for somewhere clean with air con to rest your head it's great.
The only drawback is its location. It is very close to the beach but we got the impression it is in the rougher part of the town. The walk is easy enough but late at night it can get a bit rough.
All in all a great place and very friendly owners.

Very high standard for budget accommodation at short notice
La Venta (pronounced la benta, to assist if your Spanish is a rubbish as mine) is excellent and we both wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
It is immaculately clean, seems like a very new building which helps. Bed was comfy, plenty of blankets (yes it actually gets cold in February!).
The owners spoke almost no English (although I understand that their daughter does?) but even so communication succeeded, explaining that the hot water is only between certain hours into the morning (to save money during quite winter season presumably) but we found it was still hot a little outside these hours. Shower was excellent and hot water in abundance in the morning.
Breakfast was basic but really enjoyed the local tomato on the freshly toasted bread with olive oil and salt as an interesting, delicious alternative. The coffee and fresh (local) orange juice delicious.
Something else worth a mention, there were no cups/glasses in the room, so we brought two from local relative's apartment for water at night. The next day we returned in the evening and room had been tidied which we had not expected, and two cups had been provided. Extra points awarded for minor details I think.
Wi-Fi worked fine in the breakfast room, but could not connect to it from the bedroom (using laptop, phone or tablet); I think the upstairs access point needs turning off and on again!

A Little Gem
My husband and I stayed at Pension La Venta for one evening (5th September) this place is wonderful! We arrived and were greeted by the owners who were charming and made us feel extremely welcome. Our room was SPOTLESS, it was so clean, comfortable and spacious and adequate for our stay. Breakfast was served to us and we were offered a choice of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, toast and croissants, just perfect! We will definately stay here again on future trips to the area and we will recommend this hotel to others. Thank you for a perfect stay!!
