Great option if you want to visit the Ruins of Cobá, is private, quiet, clean with all you need for a restful night.

It was pretty good. The lights went out in the bathroom a few times, but we’ve dealt with worse. The guy who checked us in was really nice. We’re english speaking- and he was very patient and spoke way better english than we do Spanish. But then we couldn’t find anyone who worked there until like 10:30 the next day. Like we were going to check out at one point but there literally wasn’t anyone in reception or anywhere. We just left to get breakfast for a bit instead. You can walk just about anywhere from there it seems- Coba is tiny though so it doesn’t matter where you stay if you’re worried about being able to walk places. Also it was very quiet- only a little eerie. We only seen one other person while we were there. There’s fun swings by the lake outside :) Lots of dogs that don’t look like they are dying :)

Nice location and grounds, interior and pool area were very nice. Nice pool. Room was comfy. Quiet. Decent breakfast.

The facility is interesting, feeling a bit like a monastery rather than a traditional hotel. The finishing is all simple, but clean and functional. And the hotel is right on the lake -- though not swimable due to a crocodile. We had breakfast (which cost extra) which was fine and everyone at the place was friendly. Given that it had a bit of character, we hope to return if we are in Coba again! It is only a few blocks from the ruins, and by staying overnight we were able to get the ruins early the next day, before the crowds arrived.

Kaab: Generally speaking, special means

Above all, service. Very friendly throughout our stay. Then the location. A bit at the "end of nowhere else" but with a magnificent view of the lake. Then the commons, well maintained, clean and pleasant, as well as the large pool. We enjoy resting here! On the other hand, the rooms are beginning to weigh down the years and deserve renovation while the breakfast is not very generous (limited offer). In short, a good address to stay one or 2 nights but probably no more. Obviously, ideal to visit the ruins of Coba which are 10 minutes walking!
