Pure perfection

Well…. What can I say? Me and my husband have been going to Malta for over 30 years and have stayed at various different places during this time. We have never stayed at such a fantastic place as this. We could only go for 3 nights and completely by chance found the Shamrock Apartments. We got the best accommodation we have ever had. Faultless on every count. Massive… beautiful pool… clean… excellent facilities… lovely bed… great shower. We got the pool apartment. OMG… how lucky were we. Truly wonderful. No noise and close to everything you could want. Beach.. shops.. bus station… bars and restaurants.

The holiday we never got to experience

We should have been going to the Shamrock from 12th to 22nd May but only found a couple of weeks before the holiday that it was not good for disabled access or for accommodating mobility scooters. The hotel looked lovely but because of not being informed about poor access for the disabled ,we had to cancel at short notice. Sadly, we are still waiting for a refund.

You cannot fault this properties cleanliness. Housekeeping and bedding was completed once per week. During the week you took your own bins down if they became full. Stairs up to apartments not suitable for people with a disability. Could not contact the owner either by ringing or emails, with regards to entering premises, missing items and faulty kettle. Only one electric adapter so had to keep switching plugs. Had to buy second pillows as only one. The bed was quite hard. Laundry is carried out once per week, which was good at 4.50 euros including powder. The door in the toilet/shower room did not close, which has been a problem for years. This could prove embarrassing for some people. Just to warn people, there is no sunlight around this side of building and can be quite cold!

Quiet, Nice. Clean

Great place. Affordable. Very clean. Well located. Nothing bad to say about it. Good, inexpensive and in a quieter part of Bugibba away from the traffic and noises but close enough to the shops and bus station. Julia and her mother are welcoming. There is a washing machine available on the roof for a small fee.
