Normandy, champagne and seagulls: the perfect vibe, but pay attention at the checkout
Falling in love with Étrette and Normandy with all your heart! Dormy House Hotel is fully in keeping with its name - very cozy, with a pleasant territory and stunning views, for which they come here.
We took a room with a sea view - it's the best solution. Falling asleep to the sound of the surf and the screams of seagulls, waking up and opening the window to breathe in that fresh air (you can't breathe!) is a real happiness. The room was warm and comfortable.
A separate wibe is to walk around the shoal with a glass of champagne and enjoy incredible sunsets. The town is magical.
Of the nuances that can be useful to other travelers:
1. Bath supplies. The room we took the baby next to us had shower gel and shampoo in one, cotton pads and a shower hat. And in our room there was no shampoo, conditioner or even soap))). For us, it's little things (always taking my professional care), but keep in mind.
2. Breakfast. Classic French: red fish, butter, croissants, orange confit, vegetables, eggs, bacon. You can eat densely, but without frills - a good classic.
3. An important check-out tip. I highly recommend that you carefully recount and reconcile. We were given an amount that was almost three times the real amount! Fortunately, it was noticed and corrected, but be vigilant.
Despite these small flaws, the hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend it for the trip. It's exactly the place you want to go back to.

Excellent accommodation in Etretat
Beautiful hotel with lovely views and good parking, booked in advance. The only thing we missed was a/c, but it was windy nice when we were there, so it helped well to open up the balcony.

Sells rooms that are not listed when you buy
I made a reservation at the Dormy House Étretat hotel. I read the room details before booking. After I paid, I received an email stating that the room was located near the kitchens and that there may be cooking smells.
I expressed my dissatisfaction to the managers because this information was not disclosed at the time of sale. I requested a refund, but they refused, claiming that all sales are final.
However, they withheld important information that could have influenced my decision to book the room.
Nearly $450 is not a small amount.
I checked their website again, and the room was no longer available. However, once my reservation was cancelled, the room re appeared under a different name and, of course, at a higher price.

Short vacation in Normandy in Etretat at the Hotel Dormy House
The location of the Dormy House is fantastic, with a magnificent view over the bay of Etretat.
The price for the accommodation is at the upper price level.
The price for the menu in the bistro, on the other hand, is quite moderate.
There is nothing to complain about regarding the rooms, the hotel, and the grounds.
However, if you do not speak French, the staff seems very reluctant to communicate in another language. You can then get the feeling that you are not welcome.

A gem with magnificient view!
Dormy house offers a great view of Etretat on top of a hill/cliff and is located strategically to explore the area and town. The room is clean and good sized, bathroom comes with bath tub. Bed is comfortable enough. Though, the room has no air conditioning, for summer, it can be rather stuffy and on a very hot day, even opening the window would not be sufficient to cool down the room. We chose to sleep with the balcony door open throughout the evening but the downside is mosquitoes or some bugs may get into the room.
The restaurant at the hotel is excellent, we had dinner there and was very pleased with the quality of the food and service with a splendid view (especially at sunset). It also offers a bar and terrace where one can enjoy drinks and coffee/tea in a nice garden.
The parking on site (with a surcharge though) is convenient for those who travel with car.
