Very warm welcome

Very good value for money, hotel well located in the historic center, indeed an old building but a comfortable and quiet room overlooking a patio. Very friendly and helpful welcome.

Dirty, stuffy room with no windows

Booked the room as a stopover for one night. We called the hotel as we were arriving late, staff was very helpful and forthcoming on the phone. They arranged for us to be able to get in and find our room after reception was closed.
Our room was a disappointment. First of all there was no window. When checking the hotel I read reviews commenting on this, and I also read responses from the proprietor refuting this. I thought these reviewers might be exaggerating - but they were right. There is a "window" that opens out to a lounge. A "window" that opens up to another room is not a window - it is an inconvenient interior door.
There were no members at staff at hand, and the phonenumbers given in the reception area only reached the reception desk.
The bathroom was mouldy, and had an unpleasant smell to it.
Linen was clean, location was good.

Vous avez fait le même commentaire sur le site de réservation je vous fait ici la même réponse ; lorsque l'on réserve à la dernière minute (1 heure avant l'arrivée, dernière chambre) vous prenez ce qu'il reste et si vous voulez critiquer soyez vous-même doit être irréprochable (réservation avec une carte bleue interdite). Pour les horaires simplement lire le site de la réservation, tout est indiqué (section à propos de)
You made the same comment on the booking site I made here the same answer; when you book at the last minute (1 hour before arrival, last room) you take what's left and if you want to be yourself criticize must be blameless (booking with a banned credit card). For schedules just read the reservation site, everything is indicated (on section)

Good location

Booked a double room and were given a triple. Looked recently refurbished. Very good shower and lovely soft towels. Quite warm when we were there but two windows and a fan helped keep it fairly cool. Quiet at night even with windows open.
Locked garage close to hotel for storing bicycles. Lovely lady on reception.
Convenient location for looking round Auxerre.

Nice staff and breakfast, pity about the room.

Location and parking wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful but the room was small, the bathroom very small and the walls very thin. Ideal for a stop over and for a base for a quick visit of the town. Breakfast plentiful.

the best deal in the centre of Auxerre

We knew that we arrive late - around midnight, so we were searching for a hotel that is not that far from the centre and offers late check-in. The owners were very helpful, gave us the code by phone and left us the key in the reception. There was no wi-fi in our room, but we didn't expect that.
