Hotel de lAvenue is located 200 metres from the Annot Train Station. It offers en suite accommodation, a restaurant and free parking. Hotel de lAvenue rooms are decorated according to a Provencal theme. Each one is equipped with a TV, telephone and private bathroom with shower. Restaurant de l´Avenue serves regional cuisine that varies according to the season. Guests can relax in the lounge by the fireplace or on the terrace. Hotel de lAvenue is in the centre of Annot near the tourist office and many shops. Guests have access to a variety of activities in the area including hiking, horse riding and rafting. Please inform Hotel lAvenue in advance of your expected arrival time. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Personal service in a clean comfortable hotel

We really felt at home because of the great service Evelyne and her husband provided. The hotel is fairly modern and everything was comfortable and clean. They made us eggs and bacon for breakfast along with a lot of other choices available. She came out and said goodbye to us personally even though she was busy taking care of other people.

Ver nice

A very good choice,. Location is perfect just below the station. Rooms have been refurbished and look like new and everything is immaculate. Very quiet, even though my room was on the road. Wifi excellent too. Breakfast is very good and price very reasonable. Clearly a good option in this village and around.

saved from the rain

We (four adults and two small kids) came up to Annot from Puget by the steam-engine drawn train, just in time for lunch. The Hotel de l'Avenu (de la Gare) was there on the path to the center of town; menacing clouds invited us to stay at this place, but optimistically we chose a table outside. Of course, as soon as the starters came, the rain was starting; but the very helpful staff found a room with a big round table just for us! excellent food, generous portions, good service; and the rain stopped when we had finished. What else can you want!?

Already planning to return!

We are 5 friends (women “of a certain age”) who were looking for an overnight adventure not too far from our winter lodgings near Nice. We chose Annot for its hiking opportunities and Hotel de l’Avenue based on a quick internet search. We travelled there from Nice via the charming narrow-gauge railway—due to works on the tracks, for now the trip continues part way by comfortable bus but the bus follows the same spectacular route.
Our contact via email with Eve, our hotelier, assured us even before our arrival that we would be at home at l’Hotel de l’Avenue. We were delighted by the hotel and by the welcome we received. We occupied the entire 2nd floor—each room is unique, and delightful. The bathrooms have all been modernized, with convenient showers and good pressure. A high standard of cleanliness throughout.
With Eve’s brother Gerard as our unofficial tour guide, we checked out the local market, hiked to the chapel overlooking the valley, and explored the fascinating and historic town. For dinner, we all opted for the evening’s menu of pintade with a mushroom sauce, which was delicious. Needless to say, we all slept soundly! We had such a wonderful time that we have already begun planning to return next year.

Lovely meal, Authentic Cooking

We visited Annot as a stop over when taking the Dignes Alpine train from Nice; the hotel is on the way to the village from the station and we had the 'plat du jour' and a very decent local rose. There were a couple of other people who arrived at lunchtime and we sat outside in the shade.
Patron was friendly and fortunately we had more French than he did English, but we are used to this in the more remote, but lovely, French villages.

Our choice of main meal was guinea fowl with a mushroom sauce, with tagliatelli, and to follow, one of us chose the raspberry roulade, the other having a raspberry tart. All the food was carefully presented, with tons of flavour and obviously made to order in a reasonable time.
We thought this was like what good, authentic French cooking would be like; great value at under €50 with wine. Highly recommended
We went for an afternoon walk up into the forest thereafter, before getting the train back to Nice. Annot and Entrevaux, (next stop on the Digne train), are both villages well worth a look if you have a few days in Nice
