A magical wedding experience at Benniksgaard Hotel
We celebrated our wedding at Benniksgaard in September 2024, and it became an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations. The location is nothing less than idyllic. Our private party room was perfectly located a few meters from the main building, which ensures the right intimacy for our company. The direct access to the well-maintained lawn allowed guests to enjoy the breathtaking views of the golf course with the Flensborg Fjord in the horizon. The September weather showed itself from its absolute best side with brilliant sunshine and pleasant temperatures - a perfect late summer Tuesday that formed the most beautiful framework for the celebration.
Despite the fact that we were relatively late with the planning, the hotel staff handled the entire process with great professionalism. Before the event we were a little nervous / worried about the service, as the communication had been limited. However, it turned out to be unnecessary, as all day service and communication went smoothly, and their experience with wedding arrangements clearly shone through.
A special highlight was the unexpected champagne making - an elegant surprise that raised the mood and created a memorable moment. This kind of small, thoughtful detail made the day special.
The gastronomic experience was also very positive. The three-course menu was served with precision and elegance, and the quality of the food was excellent. The serving perfectly followed the planned course of the evening without any delays. And all desires and requirements regarding food habits and allergies were taken into account. The alternative dishes were at least as good as the regular menu – we were told by the guests in question.
The service staff deserve special praise for their professionalism. During the day and dinner they were attentive and welcoming. Later in the night they staffed the bar and showed a festive approach to the task, even though it was late. They contributed significantly to the good atmosphere and made sure that all guests felt welcome and comfortable. It is rare to experience the joy and professionalism at the same time. Huge praise from here!
Given the quality of the food, the service and the beautiful surroundings, the price was very reasonable. The overall arrangement provided exceptional value for money. Therefore we can all in all without hesitation give Benniksgaard our warmest recommendations as location for the big day. The venue delivers a perfect combination of professionalism, quality and the right atmosphere for an unforgettable wedding celebration.

... golf course a dream ... food interesting ... rooms well ... breakfast mmmh ...
As already described in the title the advantages. What's unpleasant is the night's sleep. Rooms to the front have the noise of the federal road when the windows are open and the “crunch” of the cars over the gravel in the morning. The beds could get new mattresses after 10 years. This is simply not helpful for the game the next day. Theme breakfast buffet, weak by Danish standards.

Super delicious stay in beautiful surroundings
We have just spent a weekend at what is now called Sivgaarden botique hotel, the former Benniksgård hotel.
We had bought a golf stay with 3 x greenfee, two nights with three dishes menu in the evening, and breakfast.
It has been a fantastic experience. The surroundings of the hotel and the golf course are naturally idyllic and beautiful. The view of the Flensborg fjord from the hotel's cosy terrace and when walking on the hilly golf course is absolutely fantastic.
The staff at the hotel has been sweet, helpful and smiling from start to finish. Delicious breakfast buffet and two evenings with super delicious 3-course menus, in cosy, well-decorated premises that embrace a well-balanced combination of the old buildings in which the hotel is created, and a tasteful renovation. A renovation that is ongoing for the hotel both outside and inside, but you haven't been around all the rooms. We look forward to seeing what it will do with the hotel as a whole when it is completely finished.
We will definitely come back, both for the place, the golf and the atmosphere.

Good hotel, service less
The hotel is nicely decorated, neat, not clean everywhere. The food in the restaurant is fine, just a pity you don't get the time to enjoy it. After half an hour we were already at the main course (the third! dish) and that was way too fast. After I said something to two waiters, nothing was done with it. I had to leave my food because I can't eat fast because of gastric bypass. None of this impressed. I left dessert too. Had to settle as soon as possible and pay the full pound. Could take my drink, because there were more people waiting. Too bad.
