Il primo approdo in Albania ma anche quello che più ha lasciato il segno

Un enorme grazie a Fredi per la simpatia e la gentilezza con cui ci ha accolti appena arrivati dall'Italia, ma soprattutto per l'ottima ospitalità e i preziosissimi consigli per la nostra splendida gita di tre giorni (Scutari-Lago di Koman-Valbona-Theth-Scutari) e infine per aver preso in custodia l'auto senza chiedere nulla. Grazie a persone come lui l'Albania ci è rimasta nel cuore come un'esperienza bellissima.

A clean and average guesthouse

Centrally located single story house with a huge disorderly garden which could potentially be utilized to make the guests more comfortable. The owner is friendly and ready to help you with anything you might need. All in all, a decent experience but a bit overpriced, you'll find better deals if you look closely.

Feels like staying at friends

We were there in June 2016, spending one night during an albania motorbike trip - 2 people and 2 bikes.
Eco Garten Guesthouse is a private house with 2 or 3 guest rooms on the ground floor, directly adjacent to a lobby which is jointly used by guests and hosts.
We have seen many guest houses over the years but there are three reasons, why Eco Garten will remain in our memory for long:
The hosts: It's run by a young couple and their mother. Beyond a high level of friendlyness and care, there's time to talk plus willingness and meaning to go beyond smalltalk. English and even German (!) works well.
The atmosphere: Hidden away from the street by a solid wall, you find the house as a quiet island amidst greenery with flowers and self-grown vegs.
The location: Leave your car, bike, stuff and whatever safely in this place, just stroll around two or three corners and you're right in the center of Shkodra, a colourful and vibrant town with an extraordinary high share of young people.
Shkodra is well worth a visit - and the next time we get there, Eco Garten will be our location of choice.

Schöner ruhiger Ort im Zentrum von Shkoder

Das Guest House liegt mitten im Zentrum von Shkoder, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Fußgängerzone und Restaurants sind zu Fuß leicht erreichbar. Das Auto kann man entweder in der Zufahrtsstraße oder auf Wunsch auch direkt am Grundstück abstellen. Es ist leise, im Garten rund ums Haus werden Obst (Trauben, Melonen, Kiwi) und Gemüse angebaut.
Zwei saubere Gemeinschaftsbäder, ein nettes kleines Frühstück kann extra gebucht werden. WLAN funktioniert perfekt. Fred spricht Deutsch und hat Tipps für die Stadt und die Umgebung bereit. Auch Prospekte gibt es in der Unterkunft.

Bei Fred Zuhause

Bei Freds ECO Guest House fühlten wir uns sehr Willkommen und wohl.
Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Kaffee und einen Schnaps. Fred und seine Frau sprechen auch deutsch.
Zimmer waren prima und der Garten von Fred ein Paradies für Hobby-Gärtner.
Seine Frau Rosa bietet Touren nach Theth an, ab da kann man dann den Peaks of the Balkans prima anfangen zu Wandern. Tipp: Für alle die eine Gaskartusche zum Wandern benötigen, fragt Fred und er sagt euch wo ihr eine bekommt. Genauso beim Essen verfahren Fred hat uns da gut beraten! Danke
